Out of an abundance of caution due to the ongoing Covid 19 virus, we have decided to postpone our Heads or Tails event for Saturday, March 14th. This event will be rescheduled for a later date, when it is more appropriate for large gatherings. All involved still want to have a fun night of music and games to benefit a great organization such as Mahana Magic.

Jim Shaw is a player and singer of old songs. He performs on banjo, guitar, and Dobro, bringing a nice variety of music to every performance (folk, blues, "Dead", pop oldies singer/songwriter ... ).  Always included are some old-time and folk songs/tunes played on 5-string banjo and guitar. Music starts at 6:30pm. 

Eric became interested at a young age in music. Growing up in Austin planted the seed to eventually perform. Starting with harmonicas in blues bands and jam bands, Eric moved to guitar and eventually was writing music and singing. Eric now lives in Charlotte, Vermont and is a singer/songwriter, guitarist. His music is soulful with a range of covers and a host of originals.

Tuesday, February 18th at 6pm, our very own resident cocktail and bar expert Jesse Luberoff returns to instruct his Whiskey 101 Class at Peg and Ter's Bar & Kitchen. 

Ever wonder what the difference is between, rye whiskey, bourbon and scotch? Or what whiskey is made from or what happens when it has been aged for 12 years? Winter time is also whiskey drinking time, and we believe the more you know and understand about what’s in your glass, the more you enjoy it. Come join us for an informative class on all things whiskey, complete with delicious samples of each style to compare side by side.

Since Valentine's Day falls on a Friday, we've decided to do things a bit differently this year. Instead of reservations and a formal sit-down dinner, we will be throwing a V-Day party with our friends from Zero Gravity Brewery! We'll have some great ZG beers on tap, a sweet set of sultry love songs from The Hokum Brothers, special menu and dessert items, and delicious, love-inspiring cocktails!

Super talented local musicians Bob Recupero and Michael Corn join us for a special night of music in the P&T lounge.

Bob’s early musical interest was sparked by cowboy songs, gunfighter ballads, as well as singer-songwriters and Rock & Roll...a founding member of DOWNPOUR, he made his living playing professionally with that group from the early 70’s into the mid 80’s.

From the lowlands of the Champlain Delta comes Michael Corn; wielding a half-dozen high-tension strings full of possibilities: a stroll down to the depression-era and half-way back ... perhaps an Irish air or the occasional murder ballad.

Cooie’s clear and vibrant vocal stylings bring lyrics to life, whether she’s singing traditional tunes, popular songs, or originals. Her music encompasses a dollop of blues, a touch of jazz, a bit of folk and some old time rock'n'roll. Come check out this special talent! Music starts at 6:30pm.

Athletic Brewing is the best thing to come along in Non-Alcoholic beer since well, pretty much ever. They make super delicious N/A beer that actually TASTES like beer! We have recently added them to our menu, and the folks from Athletic will be in town to pour some samples of their amazing River Run IPA and Upside Dawn Golden beers. Come join us and taste the future of N/A beer!! And we promise you won’t be hungover on Friday…

They’re back!! Local Charlotte band Greenbush will play a free show in the P&T lounge, showcasing their amazing jazz and blues stylings. Come on by for a great night of music.

Jeff & Gina have been performing throughout Vermont for several years, featuring a variety of styles and instrumental diversity. Featuring vocals, guitar, viola, flute, tenor guitar, mandolin and bass, Jeff & GIna offer something that will interest all lovers of music. From R&B with vocal duets to soaring instrumentals, familiar and unique jazz standards, selections from Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Prince, the Beatles and Sting, versatility is their strong point.

C’mon down for a set of music from local favorite Jamie Gravelin! He plays a sweet mix of modern country and pop songs. Don’t miss this great local artist!

The Bits: 

Clara Carroll, Sophia Kruszewski and Moriah Cowles combine three part harmonies with a simple background of a single guitar and sometimes the accompaniment of Jacob Weiss on the fiddle. They perform a mix of originals and covers that vary between folk, bluegrass and pop.

We invite you to a special New Year's Eve pre fixe dinner Tuesday, December 31st at 6:30pm. Chef Corey has come up with an amazing 5-course menu for the evening, including dessert and a complimentary glass of bubbles. We will also be offering an optional wine pairing of five fantastic selections.

The fun starts at 6:30pm with cocktails and bubbles, followed by dinner at 7pm. The cost is $75 per person, plus an optional wine pairing for $30. FYI this is an early celebration as we will be closing at 9:30pm for the evening - enough time for you to head out for a night cap, or back home to watch it all on TV!

Many of you parents know Ethan Stokes from Bread and Butter farm, where he and ‘Mr. Chris’ teach an amazing music program for kids. We are lucky to have him join us on this night for some ‘adult’ style music with his newest project!

‘Duncan & Stokes’ is a new acoustic project of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/songwriter Ethan Stokes and fiddler David Duncan. Although childhood acquaintances, Duncan and Stokes began playing music as a duo in the Fall of 2018. They focus on Stokes’ original songs, punctuated with traditional Celtic medleys and American folk tunes, for a dynamic blend of soulfulness and energy. 

Mayfly, Americana/Old-time duo, is a Vermont based band that performs old-time New England and Appalachian music, as well as original songwriting on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo and vocals. Mayfly has been performing for over 12 years, touring throughout the USA and Canada. Mayfly intersperses close harmony vocals with strong instrumentals influenced by blues, ballads, and American roots music.

Local Shelburne winemaker Ethan Joseph will swing by to pour some wines from his latest vintage. We will be offering all four of his 2018 wines at super-friendly glass pour pricing for you to enjoy. We can't wait for you to try these amazing, world-class wines made just down the street from us! Ethan will be in the house starting at 6pm to discuss his latest release and the journey of his winemaking.

It’s Zero Gravity nigh at Peg & Ter’s and our good friend and local hero Lowell Thomnpson is back for another great set of music!! We will be featuring a special menu of food to pair with four different beer selections from Zero Gravity. This menu will be available until we run out! Collective Arts Brewing will be sponsoring our Wednesday Night Music series featuring live music from Rodney Putnam and friends. There will be beer specials highlighting new and unique beers from Collective Arts, as well as a Series 13 pop-up art gallery. Rodney Putnam is a local singer/songwriter who has been playing the greater Burlington area for nearly 20 years. Rodney enjoys playing those long forgotten covers that make you start guessing "who sang that?" with his own signature acoustic take. Think Crosby Stills & Nash, John Hiatt, Little Feat, & just mention The Tragically Hip and be ready for a long Canadian medley :)

Erin Cassels-Brown is a songwriter and musician from Winooski, Vermont. He writes celestial country music that walks the line between the milky way and a county fair. After working as a carpenter and installing solar panels while playing in local bands and reading rock and roll biographies, he released his debut solo EP Northern Lights Vol. 1. These days he goes running in the mornings, plays in bars at night, and thinks in sad rhymes during the day. Playing over two hundred and forty shows across 12 states in 2017 as well as working with local musicians to assemble a rotating cast of players for his backing band, Erin has developed his reputation as one of Vermont's hardest working performers.
